Son

The E.  Morgan Heckler Foundation was established to celebrate the spirit of our son, friend, and teammate, who passed away due to fentanyl poisoning as a 22-year-old senior at Bloomsburg University. Morgan lived with joy and kindness and was committed to improving our world. His life was just beginning, and like so many people who die from fentanyl, Morgan had no idea fentanyl was present the day he died.

We founded EMHF to honor Morgan’s memory and prevent more senseless deaths from fentanyl poisoning. The foundation's purpose is to raise awareness about the risks from fentanyl and offer resources to help prevent fentanyl related fatalities. EMHF works to educate the community about the danger of fentanyl. EMHF is committed to making Narcan, the opioid overdose antidote which is +95% effective, widely accessible. Carrying Narcan is easy. It’s free. It saves lives.

But owning Narcan isn’t enough: you must have it with you when you need it. So, the E.  Morgan Heckler Foundation developed a Narcan Carry Case making it easy and convenient to discreetly carry Narcan everywhere you go

Anyone can buy our Narcan Carry Case from our store - click here. For every EMHF Narcan Carry Case sold, EMHF will donate another case to a US harm reduction group. These groups work directly in communities to help reduce fentanyl deaths. If you represent a US harm reduction group that could benefit from EMHF’s support email us here

The E. Morgan Heckler Foundation collaborates with US colleges and universities to educate their students (one of our most at-risk groups) and staffs how to protect themselves and others from fentanyl poisoning. Our programs include in-person presentations, guidance for addressing the stigma associated with illicit drug use, strategies for program advocacy to school administration, and methods for evaluating program outcomes. We view our work with schools as a partnership aimed at making their students safer. We don’t want anyone else to experience the loss of a child, brother, sister, or grandchild to fentanyl. If you would like more information about our college and university partnership email us here

Additionally, the foundation awards annual scholarships in Morgan’s name to help a Methacton High School senior achieve their dreams.
