National Fentanyl Awareness Day is observed on May 9th, 2023 and is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the national health crisis caused by the illicit use and distribution of fentanyl. In addition to educating the public about the risks associated with fentanyl use, public leaders and health professionals seek to promote resources for addiction treatment and recovery. Nearly 500 organizations across the country have partnered together to dedicate resources and share information about this important issue.
